SmartSimple November 2017 Upgrade Highlights

The November upgrade demonstrates our continued focus on improved usability with enhancements designed to offer an even more intuitive user interface. These latest changes have led to visual updates to the look of your system, easier configuration options, greater searching capability, and a new security summary feature.

User Experience:

Interface Enhancements
We’ve done some considerable work to simplify navigation and enhance functionality of the platform to deliver a more intuitive user experience. Specifically, we’ve improved the layout of record pages to make better use of screen real estate. We’ve also focused on making it easier to find the information you need to complete your work easier.

 Security:

New System Security Summary Page
Quickly access and review the security of your system anytime. This valuable feature will highlight the most important features you should be aware of, and whether any require your attention. You can easily identify the features that you should enable, as well as any deprecated (no longer supported) features that should now be disabled. Our easy-to-read security summary shows you if any features require your attention, how urgently attention is needed, a brief explanation of the issue, and a link to each feature configuration, all in order to help you proactively mitigate risk.


 Efficiency:

Batch Update Custom Field Values
Save hours of data entry work on custom field values with this latest enhancement to the batch update. You now have the ability to batch update your custom field values all at once. Simply choose the desired records, click the batch update button, and select what field you want to update.The batch update page has also been reformatted for a cleaner and more organized view of your records.

Enhanced Advanced Search Options
Complete complex searches more easily, no matter what your search parameters are. We've added more power to your list view searches with an updated advanced search that includes greater flexibility to target, define, and refine your searches.

Functionality:

Simplified Login and Sign-up Configuration Pages
Create great looking login or sign-up pages via simple text boxes where you can enter your content without having to edit any HTML. You’ll also notice a new preview panel on the login configuration page that will display your changes in real-time. The preview panel highlights the area you’re working on, so editing is quick and easy to complete.

This is just the first of several new and expanded configuration options we’ll be introducing in 2018. Be sure to keep an eye out for upgrades in 2018 for more system enhancements.

SmartSimple Attends the Conference Board of Canada’s Corporate Social Responsibility Conference

On October 29 th and 30 th , the SmartSimple team took part in the very first Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Conference. Hosted by the Conference Board of Canada, the event took place at the Hilton in Toronto, Canada. The theme for this inaugural event was Delivering Meaningful Impact.
