SmartSimple’s May, 2015 upgrade is scheduled to take place the evening of Thursday, May 28 th . Curious to know what we’ve come up with for this round? Here’s a sneak peek at what you’ll be seeing this time around. Global System Upgrade This feature is an enhancement to the SmartSimple system and will be immediately available to all users as soon as the upgrade has been applied to your server: ·          Workflow Emails Emails sent from within your SmartSimple system will now be saved to the user profile of the email recipient – for example, a grant applicant or an Independent Medical Examiner – as well as the object that triggered the email. That means that all emails related to any specific task will be saved to all relevant users and object records. On-Demand System Upgrades The following features are also available immediately with the application of the upgrade, but you’ll need a hand from your System Administrator to initiate them: ·          Budget Alloc

This year’s conference theme was Research Evaluation, with an emphasis on emerging practice in the Humanities and Social Sciences and included a mix of presentations and discussion sessions by industry experts from around the world. This means all communications for every activity is now fully tracked. New! Online Document Signing for Requests for Service (RFS) at SmartSimple.

As part of our enhanced RFS process, SmartSimple will be using online document signing exclusively for all approvals. Eliminating the current paper-based process will not only save time and money from having to print, scan and email multiple documents, it will provide easier tracking of changes and approvals in real time. So you’ve decided to look for a new grants management system. The two primary factors are the state of your current processes and a commitment to change management.
