Upgrades for May 2015

SmartSimple’s May, 2015 upgrade is scheduled to take place the evening of Thursday, May 28th. Curious to know what we’ve come up with for this round? Here’s a sneak peek at what you’ll be seeing this time around.

Global System Upgrade
This feature is an enhancement to the SmartSimple system and will be immediately available to all users as soon as the upgrade has been applied to your server:

·         Workflow Emails
Emails sent from within your SmartSimple system will now be saved to the user profile of the email recipient – for example, a grant applicant or an Independent Medical Examiner – as well as the object that triggered the email. That means that all emails related to any specific task will be saved to all relevant users and object records.

On-Demand System Upgrades
The following features are also available immediately with the application of the upgrade, but you’ll need a hand from your System Administrator to initiate them:

·         Budget Allocation Manager
Setting up budget allocations has never been easier! This functionality has been standardized, so it is even easier to create and manage your budget allocations. Check the events section of our website for an upcoming webinar demonstrating how this feature can streamline your budgeting activities.

·         New Workflow Task to Trigger Signority
This new workflow task offers the ability to automatically trigger a signature request through our Signority partner.


Beta Previews
The following features are available for beta preview. If you’re curious to see what they’re all about, contact your SmartSimple administrator or check out our events page for upcoming webinars on these and other  enhancements:

·         Interactive Report View - Phase 1
The new interactive view of reports allows users to display and manipulate data, through the actual report. Users can now easily filter, group, and aggregate data dynamically and on demand.

·         SmartCheck Validation
We're introducing a new feature called SmartCheck Validation. Now, once a form or application has been submitted, your SmartSimple system checks to ensure every field that requires completion has been filled in correctly, you will see a list of any and all errors or missing information instantly in one spot.

SmartSimple Attends the Conference Board of Canada’s Corporate Social Responsibility Conference

On October 29 th and 30 th , the SmartSimple team took part in the very first Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Conference. Hosted by the Conference Board of Canada, the event took place at the Hilton in Toronto, Canada. The theme for this inaugural event was Delivering Meaningful Impact.
